You may never venture off the island - just relax on the beach, read a book by the natural stone pool, or visit the swim up bar. However, you can hike a dormant volcano; tour the lush countryside; take a ferry to neighboring Bequia for $10; or a daytrip with snorkeling, dolphin watching and stop at the site where Disney filmed Pirates of the Caribbean.

The "Sailaway" package includes 5 nights hotel and 2 nights on a 44' yacht with crew that sails to Bequia and Mustique. The boat has two cabins, but for a slight additional charge it can be your private yacht. A visit to Young Island and St. Vincent is a chance to experience the true Caribbean of years ago - no large hotels, golf courses or shopping - just natural beauty.

Young Island has complimentary, non-motorized watersports including sunfish sailing, windsurfing and snorkeling. Day/Night tennis (one court) is also complimentary. Enjoy a lovely free-form fresh water swimming pool. Scuba diving is available, and St. Vincent is known as the "little critter" capital of the world for its variety of small marine life.

Dining at Young Island is a delight. Meals are served in small gazebos at the water's edge, and feature a choice of 5 different fresh-baked breads. The setting for dinner is true Caribbean - gentle breezes, candlelight and the sound of the sea. The dinner menu changes nightly with a selection of continental and island delights.

Young Island features 29 cottage-style accommodations created from local stone and wood. Superior rooms are by the beach and low hillside. Deluxe rooms are 100 steps up the hillside with wraparound terraces. Luxury units are located by the beach and the high hillside with separate living rooms, private plunge pools and spectacular views of the sea. Half the units have A/C, and all feature private patios and open-air showers.
